To end my first year of Contemporary Art Practice, I created this suitcase project.
I focused on the history of this rusted metal suitcase, in particular who owned it and what it once held. I decided that it could have belonged to a a long line of witches.
I researched about the Scottish witch trials which all came from the King's fear of these women. Killing hundreds upon hundreds of women.
I made this suitcase a memorial for all of those lives lost.

I used a mixture of etching, natural elements of flowers, and a clay skull.
